Subject: Lycos has a new location

Lycos is now getting enough traffic that we have dedicated a Sparcstation to running Lycos searches. The new location is:

    http://lycos.cs.cmu.edu/			Home page
    http://lycos.cs.cmu.edu/cgi-bin/pursuit	Search DB

The current production database is at 634,000 documents, with 278meg of index information (152meg inverted file and the rest in abstract and namelists).

For usage information, see

    usage-day.html

So if you have any pages that point to Lycos, please use the new URL's.
