Here's a list of things I plan to do to Lycos ``in the near future.''
- Add full Boolean query capability
- Add date range limits (to allow asking only for new items)
- Add relevance feedback
Things that will have to bo done within a few months
- Add support for international character sets (8 bit chars)
- Check old URLs for availability

Just so you know that the ``To Do'' list isn't really a ``hopeless
dream'' list:
- Add bonus to weighting for adjacent terms: (added 29-Dec-94)

- Make a forms-based page that allows setting of parameters,

- Maximum number of hits returned
- Minimum score to be returned
- Terse mode that omits the Excerpt field
- Allow users to register their own URLs for exploration (added 9-Oct-95)
- Merge duplicate entries (added 25-Sep-94)
- Merge abstracts and description entries (added 25-Sep-95)
- Allow (.) to force exact match and ($) to allow free prefixing (added 25-Sep-94)
