Toad Stickers around the World
One of our first stops was London, England to see the Eagles in concert at the Earl's Court Arena. While in London, we met up with local bot builders John Reid of Killerhurtz and Ian Watts of Team Big Brother. While searching high and low for a suitable pub for dinner and a pint, we stopped to put a sticker on The London Bridge.
The next stop on our grand tour was Cairo, Egypt. We stayed at the Mena House, located at the
end of Pyramid Road at the base of the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Naturally we had to put a toad
sticker on the world's largest pyramid (482 feet tall, composed of 2,300,000 stone blocks
weighing an average of 2.5 tons each).
After toading the Great Pyramid, it was on to the temple of the Sphinx at the foot of
the Pyramid of Chephren, son of Cheops.
Although I took the stickers off the great ancient wonders before I left,
there is one one happy taxicab driver tooling around Cairo proudly displaying a Team Toad sticker.
We viewed the eclipse in Zimbabwe; our transportation for the week was
a King Air 200, sporting its own Team Toad sticker as nose art. We also found a friend who
wasn't really happy about wearing a sticker on his butt (what you can't see in the picture
is that he is swinging his tail trying to remove the little orange circle).
Last but not least on our tour was a 2 day stop in Paris to break up the long plane ride
home, so naturally we couldn't resist putting a Toad Sticker at the top of the Eiffel
Tower.
