We arrived in Marseille on Sunday, and even the shopping expert on the cruise
ship basically said, "All the stores are closed on Sunday...enjoy your day
walking around the city."
And that's just what we did...the kids were tired, so Debbie and Fuzzy took a taxi into the Vieux Port,
the old harbor at the center of the city. It was a lot of fun just walking around the harbor looking at
the boats and the old forts that used to guard the harbor from invaders.
One of the key landmarks in the area if the Chateau D'If, and on the way out of the port, we got a magnificent view of the political prison that was the basis for the
Count of Monte Cristo.
