After leaving France behind, we headed for Italy. Our first port was
Livorno, and from there we took a 30 minute tour bus ride to Pisa,
home of the famous leaning tower.
After a 15 minute walk from the parking lot, we finally arrived at
Miracle Square and there was the tower from which Galileo had dropped
weights to demonstrate his theories of gravity.
It was awesome.
While Fuzzy took pictures, Debbie and the kids shopped, but not
before we took a series of obligatory family photos, including the
mandatory "I'm holding up the tower" photos.
If we hadn't had the kids with us, we might have taken the tour that
included Florence, which has much more to see than Pisa. But that
would have been a much longer day.
